One of Idea to Life's key manufacturing partners required a low-cost method to implement near-CNC accuracy, production speed and quality without the massive capital investment. This fixture allows the consistent, repeatable drilling of custom extrusion profiles, facilitating efficient workflow and minimising rework and quality issues.
Project vision and approach
Minimal execution cost, combined with rapid iterations of prototypes and testing was a key focus for this project. Working with a combination of COTS (commercial-off-the-shelf) and MOTS (modified-off-the-shelf) part Idea to Life produced functional, tested prototypes within days, ready for deployment and installation on-site.
